There are different ways to place a path in your triggers. The placed path can be used to control which story is shown on which (sub)page of your website. The "path" is the part of the URL/domain that follows the slash. It is important that the domain has been configured in the chatbot settings and the correct integration has been made.
If the same story has to be published on all subpages of your website, you can easily select the option "Show on all pages" in the trigger.
1️⃣ Configure the domain in the settings
First of all, we make sure that we have configured the domain www.mydomain.com or https://www.aiaibot.com in the chatbot settings.
2️⃣ Add trigger and select type
In a next step we go to the story that should be published on. There we open the trigger settings under and decide on a trigger type. What exactly the different types contain can be read in this article. How a path is placed in the trigger is not dependent on the trigger type.
3️⃣ Add path
Now title and path can be placed and saved in the trigger. After the trigger has been saved and the story has been published and switched to active, the story will now explicitly appear on the website
For advanced users: In this table you will find an overview of the pattern matching you can do for URLs. Among other things, it shows on which example websites ("Matching URLs") a story would be published if slashes or stars ("Patterns") were placed in specific locations in the path.
Add queries to trigger
You can add queries to triggers to restrict the trigger to fire only if the queries match with the URL your user is visiting, i.e. ?clientid=20.
Activating triggers for devices
Depending on the story, different trigger settings are suitable. You have the option to trigger the chatbot for all devices or specifically for mobile or desktop.
