2-factor authentication

2-factor authentication can be made mandatory for all project members by project owners. However, all users can also activate 2-factor authentication only for themselves personally and manage it in their settings.

Set 2-factor authentication for a project

To set 2-factor authentication for all members of a project, you must be the owner of the project (here you can find more information about user administration and roles). Open the project and go to the Bildschirmfoto_2021-07-06_um_08.14.23.png. Now activate the slider at the «2-factor authentication» field:

This setting is automatically saved and applies to all project members.

Set 2-factor authentication for yourself

Users can also activate a login with 2-factor authentication for themselves. To do this, go to your profile settings and scroll down to 2-factor authentication: :

Enter the token sent to you in the six white fields. The token is valid for five minutes. If you do not manage to enter the token within this time, you can trigger a new token by clicking on «Send new code». After entering the token, click on buttonconfirm.png. Now you can see in your settings that you have activated the 2-factor authentication. In green you can see which method you have currently selected for this.
